Born in Mumbai, India, Utkarsh Jain is an environmental litigator. He was brought up in the city of Dharamshala in the lap of the Dhauladhar Himalayan range and is deeply committed to giving back to these mountain communities and landscapes.
He has previously been part of various public interest environmental litigations focussing on enhancing access to environmental justice for communities and preserving key biodiversity hotspots across India. His writing reflects themes of community lawyering, fraternity, and deliberative democracy. He holds law degrees from Jindal and Cornell Law School.
He has a keen interest in trekking and all things coffee.
